Homeland Security streetlights include surveillance cameras and loud speakers

(NaturalNews) As part of a federally funded project, public street lights will soon have the ability to record conversations, broadcast government warnings, advertise just about anything, and possibly even x-ray bodies for concealed weapons, just like the highly controversial TSA scanners. The street light surveillance systems are fail-proofed because they are linked together through underground cables and a wireless network, so if one goes out, the rest still work in tandem.
If you thought the Patriot Act was an infringement of civil and personal rights, wait until you get a load of this. Like some strange deja vu of the Nazi concentration camps, the manufacturer Illuminating Concepts is now installing hi-tech devices, paid for with tax dollars, which enable "big brother" to monitor, record, display, and announce just about anything he wants.
Do citizens get to vote for or against this latest disturbance of the peace? When people drive down the street with car stereos pumping music too loud, police pull them over and write tickets, but no citizen will have any say at all in what pumps out of the street speakers: including political propaganda, pharmaceutical advertisements, religious speeches, promotions for unnecessary vaccinations, and inappropriate, unrated or biased information.
The city of Farmington Hills, Michigan is the first guinea pig for the new Homeland Security light poles, which include the speaker system for emergency broadcast alerts and advertising, light sensors to record pedestrian and road traffic, and an LED video display for directional instructions.
The British are already using them as surveillance tools. The city of Middlesbrough uses the speakers to bark orders at people and reprimand them for "inappropriate behavior," littering, or committing other minor offenses in public.
Beyond the video cameras themselves, the speakers may pose the most invasive disturbances, blaring out advertisements at people as they walk past. What about restaurants with outdoor cafes and patios which try to create cultural atmosphere of their own?
What about when natural disasters and emergencies are overrated and exaggerated, like the "horrific" hurricane Irene that evacuated millions of people from east coast cities, but ended up being just a tropical storm? Will there be loud sirens screaming at the public in the streets for days or weeks on end, creating a sense of anxiety and panic?

In fact, the Nazi Party depended heavily on speakers to get its message across. Nazi camp commanders used music to mentally break down the prisoners and rob them of their dignity and cultural identity, and to achieve ideological ends. By using the concentration camps' loudspeaker systems, they aimed to manipulate, intimidate, and indoctrinate.
The Jews referred to the Nazi national music, which pervaded the air by day and night, as sonic torture. The Nazis commanded Jewish prisoners to come up with "donations" to fund the construction of Dachau's loudspeaker system in 1933.
The Nazi loudspeaker system was also regularly put into action during festivals and holidays symbolically important to the regime. Could this be the beginning of Fox News broadcasted into the streets, or pharmaceutical advertisements blared at people trying to enjoy the peace and quiet of the great outdoors?

The Vatican has called for a “global public authority”
The Vatican has called for a “global public authority” and a world central bank to rule over financial affairs in the wake of the engineered economic collapse.
A document released by the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department “should be music to the ears of the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn,” according to CNBC. Condemning the “idolatry of the market,” the document states that the “economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence.”
The planned implosion of the global economy “has revealed behaviors like selfishness, collective greed and hoarding of goods on a great scale.”
The 18-page document, entitled “Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority,” declares global economics needs an “ethic of solidarity” among rich and poor nations.
“If no solutions are found to the various forms of injustice, the negative effects that will follow on the social, political and economic level will be destined to create a climate of growing hostility and even violence, and ultimately undermine the very foundations of democratic institutions, even the ones considered most solid,” it said.
In response, the Vatican is calling for “a supranational authority” with worldwide scope and “universal jurisdiction” to guide economic policies and decisions. The authority will be run by the United Nations, according to the document.
It will take time to replace economic policies and in the process destroy national sovereignty, according to the Vatican.
“Of course, this transformation will be made at the cost of a gradual, balanced transfer of a part of each nation’s powers to a world authority and to regional authorities, but this is necessary at a time when the dynamism of human society and the economy and the progress of technology are transcending borders, which are in fact already very eroded in a globalizes world.”

China Has Divested 97 Percent of Its Holdings in U.S. Treasury Bills
(CNSNews.com) - China has dropped 97 percent of its holdings in U.S. Treasury bills, decreasing its ownership of the short-term U.S. government securities from a peak of $210.4 billion in May 2009 to $5.69 billion in March 2011, the most recent month reported by the U.S. Treasury.
Treasury bills are securities that mature in one year or less that are sold by the U.S. Treasury Department to fund the nation’s debt.
Mainland Chinese holdings of U.S. Treasury bills are reported in column 9 of the Treasury report linked here.Until October, the Chinese were generally making up for their decreasing holdings in Treasury bills by increasing their holdings of longer-term U.S. Treasury securities. Thus, until October, China’s overall holdings of U.S. debt continued to increase.
Since October, however, China has also started to divest from longer-term U.S. Treasury securities. Thus, as reported by the Treasury Department, China’s ownership of the U.S. national debt has decreased in each of the last five months on record, including November, December, January, February and March. Prior to the fall of 2008, acccording to Treasury Department data, Chinese ownership of short-term Treasury bills was modest, standing at only $19.8 billion in August of that year. But when President George W. Bush signed legislation to authorize a $700-billion bailout of the U.S. financial industry in October 2008 and President Barack Obama signed a $787-billion economic stimulus law in February 2009, Chinese ownership of short-term U.S. Treasury bills skyrocketed.By December 2008, China owned $165.2 billion in U.S. Treasury bills, according to the Treasury Department. By March 2009, Chinese Treasury bill holdings were at $191.1 billion. By May 2009, Chinese holdings of Treasury bills were peaking at $210.4 billion.
However, China’s overall appetite for U.S. debt increased over a longer span than did its appetite for short-term U.S. Treasury bills.
In August 2008, before the bank bailout and the stimulus law, overall Chinese holdings of U.S. debt stood at $573.7 billion. That number continued to escalate past May 2009-- when China started to reduce its holdings in short-term Treasury bills--and ultimately peaked at $1.1753 trillion last October.
As of March 2011, overall Chinese holdings of U.S. debt had decreased to 1.1449 trillion.
Most of the U.S. national debt is made up of publicly marketable securities sold by the Treasury Department and I.O.U.s called “intragovernmental” bonds that the Treasury has given to so-called government trust funds—such as the Social Security trust funds—when it has spent the trust funds’ money on other government expenses.
The publicly marketable segment of the national debt includes Treasury bills, which ( as defined by the Treasury) mature in terms of one-year or less; Treasury notes, which mature in terms of 2 to 10 years; Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), which mature in terms of 5, 10 and 30 years; and Treasury bonds, which mature in terms of 30 years.At the end of August 2008, before the financial bailout and the stimulus, the publicly marketable segment of the U.S. national debt was 4.88 trillion. Of that, $2.56 trillion was in the intermediate-term Treasury notes, $1.22 trillion was in short-term Treasury bills, $582.8 billion was in long-term Treasury bonds, and $521.3 billion was in TIPS.
At the end of March 2011, by which time the Chinese had dropped their Treasury bill holdings 97 percent from their peak, the publicly marketable segment of the U.S. national debt had almost doubled from August 2008, hitting $9.11 trillion. Of that $9.11 trillion, $5.8 trillion was in intermediate-term Treasury notes, $1.7 trillion was in short-term Treasury bills; $931.5 billion was in long-term Treasury bonds, and $640.7 billion was in TIPS.
Before the end of March 2012, the Treasury must redeem all of the $1.7 trillion in Treasury bills that were extant as of March 2011 and find new or old buyers who will continue to invest in U.S. debt. But, for now, the Chinese at least do not appear to be bullish customers of short-term U.S. debt.
Treasury bills carry lower interest rates than longer-term Treasury notes and bonds, but the longer term notes and bonds are exposed to a greater risk of losing their value to inflation. To the degree that the $1.7 trillion in short-term U.S. Treasury bills extant as of March must be converted into longer-term U.S. Treasury securities, the U.S. government will be forced to pay a higher annual interest rate on the national debt.
As of the close of business on Thursday, the total U.S. debt was $14.34 trillion, according to the Daily Treasury Statement. Of that, approximately $9.74 trillion was debt held by the public and approximately $4.61 trillion was “intragovernmental” debt...CNS NEWS

The unbelievable pile of human feces that currently occupies the White House is at it again.
On 17 August, 2009 I wrote a column exposing Obama’s idea for wanting the troops to carry their own insurance to cover their combat injuries and the fact that retired four star general Eric Shinseki who was Secretary of Veterans Affairs didn’t seem to have any objections but blew it off by saying: “it was just a consideration as a way to increase revenue as part of next year’s budget, but no decision has been made yet.”
Obama complained at the time saying: “Look it is an all volunteer force and nobody made these guys go to war, they had to have known and accepted the risk. Now they are whining about bearing the cost of their choice? It doesn’t compute.”
“I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, I wasn’t asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in it’s history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nations deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”

The Obama Administration now wants to cut pay and benefits of our men and women in uniform and their families, even those deployed overseas and in combat.
The defense secretary Robert Gates revealed in a speech at the American Enterprise Institute that the administration was considering cutting military pay and benefits, saying that the strategic review may require politicians to look at other uncomfortable choices including pay scales for service members.
If you jackasses cut one penny from a service members pay and family allowances before you cut your own pay and perks, you have no idea what kind of a whirlwind you will reap.
Quite frankly, you would have a better chance of sandpapering a wildcat’s butt in a telephone booth without getting scratched.

WikiLeaks’ EXPOSES Evidence of
NORTH AMERICAN INTEGRATION PLOT
As early as January of 2005, high-ranking officials were discussing the best way to sell the idea of North American “integration” to the public and policymakers while getting around national constitutions. The prospect of creating a monetary unit to replace national currencies was a hot topic as well.
Some details of the schemes were exposed in a secret 2005 U.S. embassy cable from Ottawa signed by then-Ambassador Paul Cellucci. The document was released by WikiLeaks on April 28. But so far, it has barely attracted any attention in the United States, Canada, or Mexico beyond a few mentions in some liberty-minded Internet forums.
Numerous topics are discussed in the leaked document — borders, currency, labor, regulation, and more. How to push the integration agenda features particularly prominently.
Under the subject line “Placing a new North American Initiative in its economic policy context,” American diplomatic personnel in Canada said they believed an “incremental” path toward North American integration would probably gain the most support from policymakers. Apparently Canadian economists agreed.
The cable also touts the supposed benefits of merging the three countries and even mentions what elements to “stress” in future “efforts to promote further integration.” It lists what it claims is a summary of the “consensus” among Canadian economists about the issues, too.
Merging the United States, Canada, and Mexico
Integration is a little-used term employed mainly by policy wonks. But while it may sound relatively harmless, it generally describes a very serious phenomenon when used in a geopolitical context — the gradual merging of separate countries under a regional authority.
Similar processes are already well underway in Europe, Africa, and South America. And according to critics, the results — essentially abolishing national sovereignty in favor of supranational, unaccountable governance — have been an unmitigated disaster. But the U.S. government doesn’t think so.
In North America, integration has been proceeding rapidly for years. The New American magazine was among the first to report on the efforts to erect what critics have called a “North American Union,” encompassing Canada, the United States, and Mexico. But more recently, the topic has received more attention.
After the creation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) — similar in many ways to the European Common Market that preceded the political union in Europe — the integration scheme has only accelerated. And the bipartisan efforts have been going on for years.
Under President George W. Bush, integration occurred through the little-known “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America.” And with the Obama administration, the process, now virtually out in the open, is only accelerating.
Back in 2005, the cable released recently by WikiLeaks explained how it would be done. And looking back, the document was right on the mark.
Moving Forward
The best way forward, according to the cable, is via gradual steps. “An incremental and pragmatic package of tasks for a new North American Initiative (NAI) will likely gain the most support among Canadian policymakers,” the cable states in its summary.
“Our research leads us to conclude that such a package should tackle both ‘security’ and ‘prosperity’ goals,” the document claims, using the two key words that have been emphasized at every step along the way. “This fits the recommendations of Canadian economists who have assessed the options for continental integration.”
Toward the end, the cable offers more advice on how to advance the integration agenda by tailoring the narrative. “When advocating [the North American Initiative to integrate the three countries], it would be better to highlight specific gains to individual firms, industries or travelers, and especially consumers,” the cable states, noting that it’s harder to “estimate the benefits” on a national or continental scale.
Unsubstantiated Claims
In a section headlined “North American Integration: What We Know,” the cable offers nothing but praise for the merging of the continent’s once-sovereign nations that had already been achieved.
“Past integration (not just NAFTA but also many bilateral and unilateral steps) has increased trade, economic growth, and productivity,” it claims, despite the fact that countless economists disagree. Of course, true free-trade advocates also correctly point out that the thousands of pages of regulations making up the agreements should hardly be considered examples of genuine free trade.
So-called “security,” the other big integration selling point, is featured prominently in the document as well. “A stronger continental ‘security perimeter’ can strengthen economic performance,“ the cable states. “It could also facilitate future steps toward trilateral economic integration, such as a common external tariff or a customs union.”
And law enforcement “cooperation” is good too, the embassy and the U.S. ambassador claim matter-of-factly.
“Cooperative measures on the ‘security’ side, a critical focus of current bilateral efforts, can deliver substantial, early, and widespread economic benefits,” the cable alleges, offering no evidence to substantiate the assertions.
“Security and law enforcement within North America have evolved rapidly since 9/11,” it continues. “Collaboration to improve these processes could yield efficiency improvements which would automatically be spread widely across the economy, leading to general gains in trade, productivity, and incomes.”
The Alleged “Consensus”
According to the document, “many” economists agree with the scheme. The cable says they support the principle of “more ambitious integration goals” such as a customs union, a single market, and even a continental currency to replace the dollar. On top of that, they supposedly believe such a union should involve all three major North American countries — the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The cable cautions, however, that “most” of the economists believe the gradual approach is “most appropriate” — for now, at least. And all of them apparently agree that such an approach “helps pave the way to these goals if and when North Americans choose to pursue them.”
The embassy cable also included a summary of what it calls the “professional consensus” among Canadian economists on various issues related to integration.
“At this time, an ‘incremental’ approach to integration is probably better than a ‘big deal’ approach,” the document states under the “process” subheading, supposedly referring to the economists’ opinions. “However, governments should focus on choosing their objectives, and not on choosing a process.”
Next in the cable is the question of “border vs. perimeter,” as the formerly secret document puts it. “Even with zero tariffs, our land borders have strong commercial effects,” the embassy said. However, “some” of the effects — such as law enforcement and “data gathering” — are described as “positive.”
“Canada and the United States already share a security perimeter to some degree; it is just a question of how strong we want to make it,” the 2005 document notes. Apparently Canadians’ main reason for seeking a perimeter approach to security and borders, as opposed to a border between the two nations, is to avoid the “risk” that “discretionary” U.S. decisions to stop terror or disease might impede commerce. And evidently, the nations’ rulers did decide to make the perimeter stronger.
As The New American reported in February, U.S. President Barack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper met in Washington, D.C., to hammer out a deal on solidifying the common “perimeter” around the two countries. Also part of the agreement, which conspicuously bypassed both countries’ legislatures, was a diminished role for the nations’ shared border. The development of a biometric system to track North Americans was agreed to as well, as were numerous other controversial measures.
In terms of labor markets, the so-called “consensus” among the unidentified Canadian economists is also — surprise! — the pursuit of even more integration. “Many Canadian economists point to labor markets — both within and among countries — as the factor market [sic] where more liberalization would deliver the greatest economic benefits for all three countries,” the document states.
Next, the cable release by WikiLeaks highlights another startling proposition about how to achieve an end-run around the Canadian Constitution. “Inter-provincial differences [in regulation] are important here, since Canada's federal government does not have the benefit of a U.S.-style ‘interstate commerce’ clause,” the document states. “While much of the problem is domestic in nature, an international initiative could help to catalyze change.”
Yes, the U.S. embassy referred to the wildly abused and misapplied “commerce clause” as a “benefit” that Canada lacks. And it actually suggested, hiding behind unnamed “economists,” that the constitutional “problem” could be minimized by foisting an “international initiative” on the Canadian people.
The cable also claims the “economists” support a customs union, a feature developed in the European Union once the integration process was well established. “A common external tariff, or a customs union which eliminated NAFTA's rules of origin (ROO), is economically desirable,” it states.
And finally, the document summarizes the “consensus” on the subject of a currency union. It said the supposed economists were “split” on the issues of returning to fixed exchange rates or even abolishing Canada’s fiat dollar and replacing it with American Federal Reserve fiat currency.
The cable gives the final word on the topic of a currency union to the Canadian central bank boss. He is quoted as saying that "monetary union is an issue that should be considered once we have made more progress towards establishing a single market."
Secrets, Backers
The scheme to merge North America into a political unit with its own legislature and currency is largely the brainchild of the world government-promoting Council on Foreign Relations. But though documents leaked earlier this year revealed that governments were trying to keep the process under wraps, integration is now proceeding out in the open for the most part.
Where the campaign will eventually end remains to be seen. But if North American Union advocates get their way, the U.S. Constitution and its Mexican and Canadian counterparts could soon be rendered irrelevant. After that, plugging the regional units into a global system would be a relatively simple matter, critics and supporters both argue.

When liberal investor George Soros gave $1.8 million to National Public Radio, it became part of the firestorm of controversy that jeopardized NPR's federal funding. But that gift only hints at the widespread influence the controversial billionaire has on the mainstream media. Soros, who spent $27 million trying to defeat President Bush in 2004, has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets - including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC.
Prominent journalists like ABC's Christiane Amanpour and former Washington Post editor and now Vice President Len Downie serve on boards of operations that take Soros cash. This despite the Society of Professional Journalist's ethical code stating: "avoid all conflicts real or perceived."
This information is part of an upcoming report by the Media Research Centers Business & Media Institute which has been looking into George Soros and his influence on the media.
The investigative reporting start-up ProPublica is a prime example. ProPublica, which recently won its second Pulitzer Prize, initially was given millions of dollars from the Sandler Foundation to "strengthen the progressive infrastructure" - "progressive" the code for very liberal. In 2010, it also received a two-year contribution of $125,000 each year from the Open Society Foundations. In case you wonder where that money comes from, the OSF website is www.soros.org. It is a network of more than 30 international foundations, mostly funded by Soros, who has contributed more than $8 billion to those efforts.
The ProPublica stories are thoroughly researched by top-notch staffers who used to work at some of the biggest news outlets in the nation. But the topics are almost laughably left-wing. The site's proud list of "Our Investigations" includes attacks on oil companies, gas companies, the health care industry, for-profit schools and more. More than 100 stories on the latest lefty cause: opposition to drilling for natural gas by hydraulic fracking. Another 100 on the evils of the foreclosure industry.
Throw in a couple investigations making the military look bad and another about prisoners at Guantanamo Bay and you have almost the perfect journalism fantasy - a huge budget, lots of major media partners and a liberal agenda unconstrained by advertising.
One more thing: a 14-person Journalism Advisory Board, stacked with CNN's David Gergen and representatives from top newspapers, a former publisher of The Wall Street Journal and the editor-in-chief of Simon & Schuster. Several are working journalists, including:
- Jill Abramson, a managing editor of The New York Times;
- Martin D. Baron, the editor of The Boston Globe;
- David Boardman, the executive editor of the Seattle Times;
- Kerry Smith, the senior vice president for editorial quality of ABC News;
- Cynthia A. Tucker, the editor of the editorial page of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
- Alberto Ibargüen, the former publisher of The Miami Herald, is on the board of directors. He's also president and CEO of journalism's prestigious John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
ProPublica is new and prominent, but it's far from the only Soros-funded organization that is stacked with members of the supposedly neutral press. The Center for Public Integrity is another great example. Its board of directors is filled with working journalists like Amanpour from ABC, right along side blatant liberal media types like Arianna Huffington, of the Huffington Post and now AOL.
Like ProPublica, the CPI board is a veritable Who's Who of journalism and top media organizations, including:
- Christiane Amanpour - Anchor of ABC's Sunday morning political affairs program, 'This Week with Christiane Amanpour.' A reliable lefty, she has called tax cuts 'giveaways,' the Tea Party 'extreme,' and Obama 'very Reaganesque.'
- Arianna Huffington - Co-founder of the popular left-wing website named after her, The Huffington Post, a nationally syndicated columnist, and thanks to a recent $315 million sale, the person in charge of AOL's news divisions.
- Paula Madison - Executive vice president and chief diversity officer for NBC Universal, who leads NBC Universal's corporate diversity initiatives, spanning all broadcast television, cable, digital, and film properties.
- Matt Thompson - Editorial product manager at National Public Radio and an adjunct faculty member at the prominent Poynter Institute.
Once again, like ProPublica, the center's investigations are mostly liberal - attacks on the coal industry, payday loans and conservatives like Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour. The Center for Public Integrity is also more open about its politics, including a detailed investigation into conservative funders David and Charles Koch and their "web of influence." According to the center's own 990 tax forms, the Open Society Institute gave it $651,650 in 2009 alone.
The well-known Center for Investigative Reporting follows the same template - important journalists on the board and a liberal editorial agenda. Both the board of directors and the advisory board contain journalists from major news outlets. The board features:
- Phil Bronstein (President), San Francisco Chronicle;
- David Boardman, The Seattle Times;
- Len Downie, former Executive Editor of the Washington Post, now VP;
- George Osterkamp, CBS News producer.
The Advisory Board features prominent liberal journalists like Bill Moyers, Seymour Hersh of The New Yorker, former '60 Minutes' host Mike Wallace, and representatives of both PBS and NPR.
Readers of the site are greeted with numerous stories on climate change, illegal immigration and the evils of big companies. It counts among its media partners The Washington Post, Salon, CNN and ABC News. CIR received close to $1 million from Open Society from 2003 to 2008.
Why does it all matter? Journalists, we are constantly told, are neutral in their reporting. In almost the same breath, many bemoan the influence of money in politics. It is a maxim of both the left and many in the media that conservatives are bought and paid for by business interests. Yet where are the concerns about where their money comes from?
Fred Brown, who recently revised the book "Journalism Ethics: A Casebook of Professional Conduct for News Media," argues journalists need to be "transparent" about their connections and "be up front about your relationship" with those who fund you.
Unfortunately, that rarely happens. While the nonprofits list who sits on their boards, the news outlets they work for make little or no effort to connect those dots. Amanpour's biography page, for instance, talks about her lengthy career, her time at CNN and her many awards. It makes no mention of her affiliation with the Center for Public Integrity.
If journalists were more up front, they would have to admit numerous uncomfortable connections with groups that push a liberal agenda, many of them funded by the stridently liberal George Soros. So don't expect that transparency any time soon.

Bombshell: U.S. government questioned Obama citizenship
Said it lacked documents to determine birth country

The U.S. government is on record questioning President Obama's citizenship status as early as when he was 5 years old, stating it lacked documentation to determine his citizenship, WND has learned.
The citizenship inquiry dated back to 1966, when Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was attempting to secure a waiver so her second husband, Indonesian citizen Lolo Soetoro, could return to the country after his visa had expired.
Dunham separated from her first husband, Barack Obama Sr., in 1963 when the future president was 2 years old. Dunham and Obama Sr. are reported to have divorced in 1964.
In 1965 in Hawaii, Dunham married Soetoro, an Indonesian, and moved to Indonesia in October 1967.
Soetoro had been studying at the University of Hawaii as part of a State Department-initiated student exchange program.
Soetoro's student visa had been sponsored by the University of Hawaii's Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange between East and West. The program enforced strict visa limitations, requiring foreign students to return to their home countries after two years.
According to U.S. immigration files obtained and reviewed by WND, Soetoro was approved for a 21-month study grant beginning Sept. 1, 1962, at the East-West Center.
A memorandum from the center dated July 7, 1965, relates how Soetoro had his Class J visa briefly extended after he married Dunham due to a claimed illness on the part of Dunham. His visa had been set to expire June 15, 1964.
"He gave his wife's illness as the reason for his visa extension request," stated the center's memo.
The memo said Soetoro claimed Dunham had been "suffering from a stomach ailment which may, according to her physician, require surgery."
"When I pressed Mr. Soetoro for more information regarding the name of the physician, etc., he claimed that he could not remember exactly," continued the memo, signed by Robert Wooster of the University of Hawaii's exchange program.

Bid Laden killed? What year was that?
Timing in life is everything they say.
WHEN?
Like perhaps a few million others, last night at 9:00 pm CST, Jerry Rivers aka Geraldo Rivera, on FAUX News Network announced the putative president would speak at 10:30 pm EST on a Sunday night. Immediately networks went on "high alert" because no one could remember a president calling a 15-minute press conference on a Sunday night, so it must be important. Speculation swirled about that it had to do with the US killing Mummar Gaddafi’s son and three of his grand children. Aren't we a great super power?
But, by 11:00 pm EST, it turned to Osama Bin Laden. He's dead! But, still no Barry Soetoro at the mike. I finally went to bed 30 minutes later. According to news reports, the usurper took to the mic just before midnight EST. How come there was a delay of almost an hour and a half? The press conference is called for 10:30 pm EST. One would think Barry would have had his notes together and ready to go for such a historic statement to the American people. I wonder what last minute details were being finessed?
And, why so late on a Sunday night. Why not this morning? I think it's safe to say that a whole lot of people go to bed earlier on a Sunday night for work the next morning. Perhaps the late night show was so Americans who missed it the night before would get full saturation this morning before they went to work. You know, hip, hip, hurray!
This morning I see celebration in the streets as people rejoice over the death of the "9/11 mastermind". We got him! Obama/Soetoro announced last night an operation took place April 29, 2011, in Pakistan in which Bin Laden was killed. Another CIA creation and former ally of the US taken care of in a country that claims to be our friend, Pakistan. A country that has received tens and tens of millions of dollars stolen from we the people for things like upgrading their energy systems.
The part I like the best is that the body of Bin Laden is then dumped at sea. What? Well, that was after his photograph was taken, of course.

Or is the CIA as usual trying to foment off the mark conspiracy theories by acting as if the whole affair is a hoax when it is not?
"What was the role of the Pakistani authorities? Was the raid carried out by Pakistan as reported in the Pakistani press or was the raid a complete surprise because the CIA gave Pakistan no warning as reported on the BBC this morning? Is there a connection with the affair of the CIA contractor Raymond Davis?
"The then British ambassador to Washington Christopher Meyer told BBC listeners this morning that it was several days before they were sure that Al Qaeda carried out the 9/11 attacks. This contradicts the official 9/11 story that US officials knew this straight away, from analysing flight manifests of the apparently hijacked planes.
"These vital manifests have never been released to the public. On the internet self described conspiracy theory debunkers have circulated "leaked" manifests to "prove" the official 9/11 story, but these manifests appear to be faked. Some sceptics suspect the apparently hijacked planes on 9/11 were part of a reluctantly confirmed top secret anti-hijack exercise the Pentagon was running on the morning of the 9/11 attacks.
"How come the world's most wanted man could have been living in a huge, inevitably high profile compound in a Pakistani military city less than an hour's drive from the capital, asked bemused BBC reporters this morning."

"Eric Haney who has stated that Bin Laden was killed in the massive bombing of Tora Bora, Afghanistan on December 15, 2001. I sent e-mail to Haney. He responded in the affirmative that Bin Laden was killed that day. Who is Haney? You can visit his web site: CSM Eric L. Haney, USA (Ret). "For more than twenty years, Command Sergeant Major (retired) Eric L. Haney served in the United States Army's most demanding combat units: As a Combat Infantryman, as a Ranger, and ultimately, as a founding member and eight-year veteran of the Army's super secret counter-terrorist arm, Delta Force." I would venture to guess that Haney has excellent contacts in the military."
Perhaps that's why Bush told us in March 2002, that Bin Laden wasn't important and not a priority.
According to news reports, DNA was checked. There were many reports Bin Laden was being treated for serious kidney problems in 2001:
Kidney disease is serious and kills a lot of people. Does the CIA have Bin Laden's DNA? After all, they did business with him for a long time. If Bin Laden was on dialysis, could he have lived another ten years roaming around mountains eluding our military? Why would Bin Laden hole up in a compound so easily discovered? Well, perhaps he was just getting careless in his old age.

How does that compare to oil company industry profits per gallon?
According to this post on Exxon Mobil’s Perspective Blog , “For every gallon of gasoline, diesel or finished products we manufactured and sold in the United States in the last three months of 2010, we earned a little more than 2 cents per gallon. That’s not a typo. Two cents.”

EPA Blocks Shell Oil from Arctic Offshore Oil Drilling
The oil company originally planned to drill for oil in the Beaufort Sea, just north of Alaska and west of Canada's Arctic Islands in the Arctic Sea. The EPA had issued Shell Oil two multiyear air permits in 2010 for its drilling ventures in both the Beaufort Sea and Chukchi Sea.
However, Earthjustice, a major environmental advocacy group, filed a petition for the review of the permits by the EPA's Environmental Appeals Board. Earthjustice filed the petition on grounds the permits fell short in terms of pollution control. In February, Shell announced it would be postponing their plans to drill due to uncertainty over whether or not their permits would be approved, but now Shell is dropping the plans completely.
Before the permits were issued, Shell had already spent around $2 billion on the leases alone, in addition to another $4 billion spent on planning the drilling ventures in the Beaufort and Chukchi seas. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) estimates there are up to 27 billion barrels of oil and 74 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the Arctic Sea.
With the Environmental Appeals Board's decision to withhold the air permits, the Board also suggested drilling in the Arctic region could be hazardous to the area's inhabitants, even though the closest residents live about 70 miles away from the Beaufort Sea drilling site proposed by Shell. Currently, offshore oil drilling off the Atlantic Coast and the eastern Gulf of Mexico are closed until 2017 as a result from BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill in April 2010, which has become the worst oil spill in U.S. history.
Offshore drilling has faced many obstacles following
the BP oil spill. In fact, BP looked to continue offshore oil drilling, but instead focused their efforts on the Arctic Sea under Russian jurisdiction. On Feb. 15, 2010, BP and the Russian government reached a deal on oil exploration in the Kara Sea, an area of the Arctic Sea that has become a wasteland for Russia's nuclear waste. Russia has continued to tap out its crude oil reserves in Siberia, making oil drilling in the Arctic a feasible option.

CIA Sued for 'Holding History Hostage' on Bay of Pigs Invasion
Washington, D.C., - Fifty years after the failed CIA-led assault on Cuba, the National Security Archive today filed a FOIA lawsuit to compel the Agency to release its “Official History of the Bay of Pigs Invasion.” The suit charges that the CIA has “wrongfully withheld” the multi-volume study, which the Archive requested under the FOIA in 2005. Did you know that burning the Koran is worse than burning the Bible? That’s what MSNBC guest and Time Magazine world editor Bobby Ghosh told host Chuck Todd on Friday. According to him, the Koran is directly from God, while the Bible isn’t. Mediaite offers a transcript:
GHOSH: The thing to keep in mind that`s very important here is that the Koran to Muslims, it is not — it is not the same as the Bible to Christians.
The Bible is a book written by men. It is acknowledged by Christians that it is written by men. It`s the story of Jesus.

Obama Administration issues Gag Order on recent spike of
Mass Dolphins Death
Biloxi - The Obama administration has issued a gag order on data over the recent spike of dead dolphins, including many stillborn infants, washing up on Mississippi and Alabama shorelines, and scientists say the restriction undermines the scientific process.
An abnormal dolphin mortality this year along the Gulf coast has become part of a federal criminal investigation over last year's BP oil spill disaster and as a result, has led the US government to clamp down on biologists' findings, with orders to keep the results confidential.
The dolphin die-off, labeled an "unusual mortality event (UME)," resulted in wildlife biologists being contracted by the National Marine Fisheries Service to record the recent spike in dolphin deaths by collecting tissue samples and specimens for the agency, but late last month were privately ordered to keep their results under wraps.
Reutershas obtained a copy of the agency letter that states, in part: "Because of the seriousness of the legal case, no data or findings may be released, presented or discussed outside the UME investigative team without prior approval."
One biologist involved with tracking dolphin mortalities for over 20 years and speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Reuters that: "It throws accountability right out the window. We are confused and ... we are angry because they claim they want teamwork, but at the same time they are leaving the marine experts out of the loop completely."
Some scientists said they have received a personal rebuke from government officials about "speaking out of turn" to the media over attempts at determining the dolphins' deaths.
Additionally, these scientists say the collected specimens and samples are being turned over to the government for evaluation under a deal that omits independent scientists from the final results of lab tests.
Almost 200 dead bottlenose dolphin bodies have been found since mid-January through this week along shorelines of Gulf coast states, including Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, Reuters notes. About half of the carcasses are newborns or stillborn infants.
That number is around 14 times the average numbers recorded during the same time frame between 2002 and 2007 and has coincidentally occurred during the first calving season since the BP Deepwater Horizon debacle last year in the Gulf.
Although many of the dolphin specimens recently collected show no outward signs of oil contamination, lab analysis is crucial in helping to determine their deaths.
Some experts believe the recent surge of deaths is the result of dolphins inhaling or ingesting oil during the oil spill, the results of which are just now beginning to show their toll, including a possible upsurge in dolphin miscarriages.
The recent spike in dolphin deaths has compounded the dolphin mortality problem, as scientists were already busy attempting to determine the deaths of nearly 90 dead dolphins, mostly adults, that washed up along the US Gulf coast during the weeks and months after the BP disaster.
Some are questioning the Marine Fisheries Service, part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and its delay in providing dolphin samples to laboratories.
"It is surprising that it has been almost a full year since the spill, and they still haven't selected labs for this kind of work," said Ruth Carmichael, of the independent Dauphin Island Sea Lab, located in Alabama, according to Reuters. "I can only hope that this process is a good thing. I just don't know. This is an unfortunate situation," she added.
Officials with the NOAA state the confidentiality measures are an integral part of the current investigation over the BP oil spill.
"We are treating the evidence, which are the dolphin samples, like a murder case," said Dr. Erin Fougeres, a Fisheries Service marine biologist, Reuters notes. "The chain of custody is being closely watched. Every dolphin sample is considered evidence in the BP case now," she added.
MONSANTO STRIKES AGAIN
The US Embassy in Argentina is reportedly promoting the use of glyphosate herbicide which can cause major birth defects.
The US Embassy in Buenos Aires has forced the authority that monitors agricultural production to promote the use of glyphosate by hiring a private firm to come up with a report that disregards the health risks of the herbicide, a Press TV correspondent reported on Friday.
On two occasions, the US Environmental Protection Agency has caught scientists deliberately fabricating findings at research laboratories hired by the US-based multinational agricultural biotechnology corporation, Monsanto, to study glyphosate. The cases involved routine falsification of data and misrepresentation of test results.
This is while the 65-year-old head of the Molecular Embryology Lab at University of Buenos Aires, Andres Carrasco, has found that the herbicide can alter the morphology of embryos and trigger brain, intestinal and heart defects in them.
His scientific findings have, however, infuriated those earning large sums of money from the sale of glyphosate.
“Many have criticized Carrasco's studies because he proved that glyphosate affects embryos and causes malformations. There is no legislation to control the effects of such chemicals. One day the health effects of glyphosate will be considered as crime and subjected to prosecution,” Jorge Rully, an expert in sustainable development, told Press TV.
The negative effects of the glyphsate on livestock and people have prompted Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez to establish a committee to investigate the health and environmental impacts of the herbicide.
Glyphosate is used in vast areas of Argentina and some 200 million liters of it are sprayed on farmlands throughout the Latin American country.

There is a growing unease by many thousands of citizens of the United States and other

Retired California banking couple were instrumental in creating the Center for American Progress, giving
over $20 million in start-up funds during its first 5 years. Also created the Center for Responsive Lending
with $20 million in initial funding and Pro Publica with $10 million a year in start-up funds. Major donors to
Acorn, the ACLU, and Human Rights Watch. Gave $13 million to liberal 527s in 2004.
5.Ted Turner
Media mogul is close to fulfilling his 1998 pledge of giving $1 billion to UN-related causes through his United
Nations Foundation. Turner is also fulfilling a $250 million pledge to the Nuclear Threat Initiative. His
Turner Foundation, founded in 1990, gives over $10 million a year to environmental groups.
6.Tim Gill
Software whiz committed $400 million fortune from the sale of Quark to promoting LGBT rights through
the Gill Foundation, which has spent $165 million so far. Also created Gill Action, a pioneering effort to
support mostly state-based candidates who back marriage equality and gay rights. Widely considered the most
important gay political donor.
7.John Hunting
Office furniture heir recently completed giving away $120 million to environmental causes through his groundbreaking Beldon Fund, which closed its doors in 2009. Very active political donor, giving millions to 527s and both federal and state-level Democratic committees and candidates since 2000.

Billionaire medical technology heir has become a leading funder of LGBT rights in the United States and worldwide through his Arcus Foundation, which has given over $80 million since 2000. Has also spent millions to push Michigan politics to the left and to sway state-level races in other states. Major giver to 527s as well as to Democratic Party committees and state-level candidates

Heir to New York real estate fortune. Second biggest donor to liberal 527s in 2008, with $4.8 million in giving. Has spent $58 million backing progressive ballot initiatives and candidates in California since 2000, including a record $49.5 million to push a 2006 measure that would have taxed oil companies to fund renewable energy. Over $10 million in donations to Democratic Party committees since 2000.
10.Peter Lewis
Auto insurance billionaire has given $26 million to 527s since 2004. Helped found the Center for
American Progress with major pledge and sits on its board. Has given millions to state-level efforts to
reform marijuana drug laws. Among the largest donors to the ACLU, with over $25 million in giving
since 2001. Founding member of the Democracy Alliance.
11.Jeanne Levy-Church
Gave away $75 million through the Jeht Foundation before losing all philanthropy funds in the
Bernie Madoff fraud. Jeht Foundation was leading funder of criminal justice reform efforts from 2002
through 2008. Also major donor to Democratic Party committees and candidates.

Early dotcom winner, who sold GeoCities to Yahoo, is among the top donors to LGBT causes in the
past decade, with at least $30 million in giving to both national and local advocacy and education

to state-level political races.

minority college scholarships through a $1.7 billion gift.
DHS Secretary Napolitano and Controversial Islamic “Community Leaders” Meeting Documents
Judicial Watch uncovered documents from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that detail a two-day meeting on January 27 and 28, 2010, between DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and Arab, Muslim, Sikh, and South Asian “community leaders.” Several of the individuals and organizations represented had controversial radical ties including the Marxist-Leninist terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Hezbollah, Hamas, and others.
Abortion and the eclipse of reason
If there are not more people forthcoming who are imbued with a true sense of justice and of the transcendent dignity of every human being as a child of God, then the world we pass on to our children will be even more violent than the one we were born into. This outcome is not inevitable however. The numbers of those dedicated to justice and to the defense of innocent human life are on the rise. Let us pray fervently that God will strengthen their resolve and guide them in the ways of truth and justice....
